Clear Study Pathways (Based on Your Placement Test)

We believe in teaching you at the exact level you need to improve. To make sure you are in the right class, all students will take a placement test when they arrive. Based on your results, we will place you into one of our two specially designed modules:

  • Foundation Module: Focuses on improving your four language skills and strengthening your grammar to build a strong foundation.
  • Fluency Module: Focuses on improving your accuracy and fluency in all four language skills to help you get higher test scores.

Both pathways include an intensive schedule of 18 classroom hours and 2 independent study hours per week to help you make fast progress.

Your 2-Month Roadmap to Success

Our structured program runs from July to September, perfectly timed to get you registered for Semester 1.

  • Your Weekly Rhythm: Classes run Monday through Friday (with dedicated independent learning sessions on Friday afternoons) to maximize your retention without burning you out.
  • The Finish Line: Sit for your IELTS exam in early September. If you need a second shot, we provide extra preparation classes and scheduling for a retake later that month, ensuring you are fully ready when the semester begins!

Getting into the program is simple. Follow our streamlined pathway:

Step 1: Submit Your Documents

Once you have your USM Conditional Offer Letter and IEP Offer Letter, email the following to ppblt_courses@usm.my:

  • Completed IEP Application Form
  • Passport (details page only)
  • Passport-sized photo
  • Academic transcripts
  • Proof of package payment (USD 3,800)

Payment for IEP enrolment can be made via cash deposit, local bank transfer or telegraphic transfer to the following account:

Step 2: Secure Your Visa

Apply for your student visa online via EMGS. Track your Electronic Visa Approval Letter (e-VAL) easily on the EMGS app.

Step 3: Arrive, Test, and Thrive

Touch down in Malaysia, complete your university health check, and sit for your mandatory placement test to get assigned to your official level before classes begin!
