The Alumni Fellowship Association (ALFA) is a team established by the School of Languages, Literacies and Translation (SoLLaT) in 2019 and aims to connect and engage with its alumni from its Academic Programmes - BA (Hons.) English for Professionals and MA Translation for Professionals.

ALFA is established in line with one of the university’s aspirations - to nurture a lifelong commitment and contribution of its alumni to the development of the academic and social well-being of the community. It bridges the alumni and the school through various academic and career-oriented programmes, news, and information to assist prospective and current students as well as fresh graduates to pursue further education and start a career. It also showcases alumni success stories and talents.

ALFA is run by a team of academic staff at SoLLaT that is overseen by the Dean and Deputy Dean of Academic, Career, and International Affairs. Every year, the team organises career-related events to help students foresee the reality of the working world.

Everyone who is a graduate from the academic programmes in SoLLaT is a member of ALFA. The team encourages and welcomes any forms of contribution and participation from the alumni for all programmes, events, and activities – initiated by the school, university or external organisation.
