At SoLLaT, we are committed to empowering individuals to use language for productive and impactful purposes, while helping them navigate the complexities and nuances that come with it.

SoLLaT is proud to be one of the largest language schools at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), with a presence across three dynamic campuses: the main campus in Penang, the engineering campus in Nibong Tebal, and the medical campus in Kelantan. With over 120 dedicated and highly qualified language educators and state-of-the-art learning facilities, we are fully equipped to meet the diverse language needs of our students.

Our offerings reflect the global landscape we live in. We provide a broad range of language programs, from undergraduate to postgraduate levels both for research and coursework mode. Currently, we host a growing community of postgraduate students pursuing research in PhD and Master’s programs. Our B.A. in English for Professionals and the Master of Arts in Translation for Professionals are thriving programs that prepare graduates for the demands of a multilingual world. All USM undergraduate students benefit from our comprehensive Malay and English language programs, while over 800 students each semester gains a competitive edge by learning nine different foreign languages.

We are also a welcoming hub for international students from countries such as Thailand, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Spain, and Germany, who immerse themselves in Malay language and culture through our short, intensive courses.

We are especially proud to announce that SoLLaT has been officially appointed as an authorized examination center for the Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) by the Instituto Cervantes. The DELE Spanish Diploma is a prestigious international certification that validates Spanish language proficiency and opens doors to academic, professional, and personal growth.
