The Academic Communication in English (A.C.E.) programme is a four-week intensive English programme offered by the School of Languages, Literacies and Translation (SoLLaT), Universiti Sains Malaysia.
Designed for international students, A.C.E. develops the academic, professional, and intercultural communication skills required for success in university study and campus life.

Once you have your USM Full Offer Letter and A.C.E Offer Letter, email the following to ppblt_courses@usm.my:
- Completed ACE Application Form
- Passport (Bearer’s info page only)
- Passport-sized photo
- Proof of payment
Payment for ACE enrolment can be made via cash deposit, local bank transfer or telegraphic transfer to the following account:

- I have already achieved the required IELTS score. Should I still enrol in the A.C.E. Programme?
Yes. Admission to the A.C.E. Programme is based on the recommendation of the interview panel, not solely on your IELTS results. The panel has determined that the programme will provide you with additional academic language support, helping you confidently manage your coursework and succeed in your studies at USM.
- Where will I stay if I enrol in the A.C.E. Programme?
Students enrolled in the A.C.E. Programme will be accommodated in the university hostel throughout the duration of the programme.
- Will I receive a certificate after completing the programme?
Yes. Upon successful completion of the A.C.E. Programme, you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
- How do I apply for the A.C.E. Programme?
Please refer to the Your A.C.E. Journey flowchart above for the application process and required documents.
- Which programme should I select when submitting my e-VAL application through the EMGS portal?
Please select your main degree programme at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Do not select the A.C.E. Programme, as this may delay or affect the processing of your student visa application.
