Official Book Launch Ceremony: Hundred Thousand Whys (6th Edition) – Malay Edition

The School of Languages, Literacies and Translation (SoLLaT) proudly marks another significant milestone on the international stage with the official launch of the Hundred Thousand Whys (6th Edition) – Malay Edition at the prestigious Beijing International Book Fair on 19th June 2025.

This remarkable project involved the translation of six volumes of science-themed books from Chinese into Malay by SoLLaT’s dedicated translation team. The initiative is a result of a meaningful collaboration between SoLLaT, KB Asia Sdn. Bhd., and the Shanghai Juvenile and Children's Publishing House.

The translated series received high commendation from Mr. Yin Chuanhong, Vice Chairman of the China Science Writers Association, and Ms. Wang Yi, Director of the International Department at the Shanghai Juvenile and Children's Publishing House. Both were present at the launch and expressed their appreciation for the quality and impact of this intercultural effort to promote science literacy across borders.
