PROFILE

Dr. Farhana Abdul Fatah is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Languages, Literacies, and Translation, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang. She obtained her Bachelor's degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and her Master's degree in intercultural communication from the University of Warwick, UK, where she also obtained her PhD in Applied Linguistics. Her primary research interests are varied, but typically revolve around discourse, identity, religion, and gender, in particular concerning Muslim women. She is also interested in exploring how these topics emerge through popular culture such as videogames, television, and films.
